100% recycelt, 100% Performance<br />
Nach vielen Experimenten ist den Materialexperten von<br />
PrimaLoft der Durchbruch gelungen. Auf der diesjährigen<br />
OutDoor in Friedrichshafen präsentiert der Spezialist für<br />
Isolationsmaterialien und Funktionstextilien mit PrimaLoft® Silver<br />
Insulation 100% PCR, PrimaLoft® Black Insulation 100% PCR<br />
sowie PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Luxe drei Isolationen, die rein<br />
aus recycelten Materialien entwickelt wurden.<br />
Bisher war es nicht möglich, eine Hochleistungsisolation in<br />
Mikrofasergröße komplett aus recyceltem Material herzustellen.<br />
Denn die Schmelzpunkte gesammelter PET-Flaschen sind<br />
unterschiedlich, und erschweren die Produktion einer stabilen<br />
Isolationsfaser. Mit speziellen Produktionsverfahren ist es PrimaLoft<br />
nun gelungen, extrem leistungsfähige Fasern herzustellen, die feiner<br />
und weicher als Kaschmir sind und über eine hohe Bauschkraft<br />
sowie unübertroffener Wärmeleistung verfügen. Selbstverständlich<br />
besitzen die Isolationen die gewohnten PrimaLoft-Eigenschaften<br />
wie geringes Gewicht, gute Komprimierbarkeit sowie eine<br />
wasserabweisende Charakteristik. So entsteht beispielsweise<br />
aus rund neun handelsüblichen PET Flaschen am Ende die<br />
Isolationsschicht für eine Jacke (Stärke 40g/m2).<br />

The PrimaLoft development team has strived to create an<br />
insulation made exclusively from post-consumer recycled<br />
content. At this year’s OutDoor Show in Friedrichshafen<br />
(Hall A1/500), the insulation materials and<br />
functional textiles specialist will present<br />
the results of intensive research,<br />
introducing three new insulations:<br />
PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation<br />
100% PCR and PrimaLoft® Black<br />
Insulation 100% PCR, as well as<br />
PrimaLoft® Gold Insulation Luxe.<br />
PrimaLoft always tries to be<br />
“Relentlessly Responsible” in the<br />
product advancements. Until now<br />
the challenge had been to produce<br />
a high-performance insulation<br />
made entirely from recycled<br />
material. The main problem were<br />
the melting points of the collected<br />
PET bottles, which differ from that of<br />
virgin fibers and make the production of<br />
a stable insulation fiber very difficult. PrimaLoft’s has now risen<br />
to the challenge in the successful production of extremely highperformance<br />
fibers that are finer and softer than cashmere and<br />
boast high bulk density and unmatched thermal performance.<br />
The insulation has all the renowned properties that have made<br />
PrimaLoft the benchmark in performance insulation, such as low<br />

weight, high compressibility and water-repellent characteristics.<br />
Around nine commercially available PET bottles are necessary to<br />
create the insulation layer for one jacket (thickness 40g / m2).<br />
