Totalizer<br />
Introduction to the <strong>34980A</strong> 1<br />
The digital modules have 32- bit totalizer input channels for counting<br />
pulses and measuring frequency. You can manually read the totalizer<br />
count or you can configure a scan to read the count.<br />

You can configure the totalizer to count on the rising edge or falling edge<br />
of the input signal. The minimum rise/fall time for input signals to the<br />
totalizer is 5 S.<br />
The maximum count is 4,294,967,295 (2 32 - 1). The count rolls over to "0"<br />
after reaching the maximum allowed value.<br />
You can configure the totalizer to read without affecting the count or<br />
reset the count to zero without losing any counts.<br />
