Operating the <strong>34980A</strong> from the Front Panel Keyboard<br />
This section gives an overview on operating the <strong>34980A</strong> from the front<br />
panel keyboard. The Front Panel Menu Reference subsection briefly<br />
describes the menus accessed by the front panel keys, and the<br />
subsequent subsections provide examples of menu navigation.<br />
NOTE<br />
Before you can operate the front panel keyboard, connect the power<br />
cord to the <strong>34980A</strong> and turn on the power. If the instrument does not<br />
power on properly, contact <strong>Agilent</strong> Technologies Technical Support.<br />
At power on, all segments on the front panel are displayed and all<br />
lighted keys temporarily turn on. The front panel is ready for operation<br />
when the keys are no longer lit and the green channel field on the<br />
display shows the first slot in which a module is installed.<br />
