Front Panel Menu Reference<br />
Getting Started 2<br />
This subsection provides an overview of the top two levels of menus you<br />
can access from the front panel. The menus are designed to sequentially<br />
guide you through all parameters required to configure a particular<br />
function or operation.<br />
The Store/Recall Menu Use to store and recall instrument states. You can:<br />
• Store up to six instrument states in non-volatile memory;<br />
• Assign a name to each storage location;<br />
• Recall stored states, the power-down state, the factory reset state, or a preset state.<br />
The Utility menu Use to configure system-related instrument parameters. You can:<br />
• Connect and configure the <strong>34980A</strong> to use over LAN, GPIB, or USB;<br />
• Set the real time clock and calendar;<br />
• Set the radix character and thousand separator;<br />
• Enable/disable the internal DMM;<br />
• Query and update the firmware revisions for the mainframe and its modules.<br />
<strong>Measure</strong>ment configuration parameters are set using the Configure key<br />
group (see descriptions on page 36)<br />
