National reporting<br />

• To encourage the High Contracting <strong>Part</strong>ies and observer States to submit<br />

their national reports;<br />

• To encourage the High Contracting <strong>Part</strong>ies to use the Guide to National<br />

Reporting adopted by the Fourth Review Conference;<br />

• To continue examination of the reporting forms and the Guide to<br />

National Reporting with a view to making recommendations to the Sixth<br />

Conference in the 2012 Meeting of Experts; and<br />

• To provide an assessment from the national reports submitted on<br />

the utility of the Guide to National Reporting and the progress in<br />

implementing the provisions of Protocol V for the Meeting of Experts in<br />

2012.<br />

Victim assistance<br />

• To provide adequate time for the continued consideration of victim<br />

assistance at the Meetings of Experts and Conferences of the High<br />

Contracting <strong>Part</strong>ies to Protocol V;<br />

• To request the Meeting of Experts to continue consultations and work on<br />

the template for national reporting on victim assistance under article 8<br />

of the Protocol and to request the Coordinator to make suggestions to<br />

the Sixth Conference of the High Contracting <strong>Part</strong>ies based on these<br />

consultations;<br />

• To call on the High Contracting <strong>Part</strong>ies to continue their efforts to<br />

implement fully the Plan of Action on Victim Assistance;<br />

• To hold a session on national assessments of needs of ERW victims in<br />

the 2012 Meeting of Experts; and<br />

• To provide an assessment of the responses to the questionnaire and the<br />

sections of the national reports that address victim assistance in the<br />

Meeting of Experts in 2012.<br />

Web-based Information System for Protocol V<br />

• The Conference welcomed the establishment of the Web-based<br />

Information System for Protocol V and requested the CCW<br />

Implementation Support Unit to administer and supervise it. It further<br />

requested the Information and Communication Technology Service of<br />

the United Nations Office at Geneva to provide for maintenance.<br />

CCW Implementation Support Unit<br />

The Implementation Support Unit (ISU), which became fully functional<br />

on 9 May, presented its first annual report to the Fourth CCW Review
