Promotion of multilateralism in the area of disarmament and<br />

non-proliferation<br />

In its resolution 65/54 of 8 December 2010, the General Assembly<br />

requested the Secretary-General to seek the views of Member States on the<br />

issue of the promotion of multilateralism in the area of disarmament and<br />

non-proliferation and to submit a report to the General Assembly at its sixtysixth<br />

session.<br />

Replies received from 10 Governments (Australia, Cuba, Lebanon,<br />

Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Qatar, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago and<br />

Turkmenistan) are contained in the Secretary-General’s report on the subject. 101<br />

At its sixty-sixth session, the General Assembly adopted resolution 66/32<br />

on 2 December 2011. For more information, refer to appendix V<strong>II</strong>I.<br />

Review of the implementation of the Declaration on the<br />

Strengthening of International Security<br />

By its decision 66/514 of 2 December 2011, the General Assembly<br />

decided to include the item entitled “Review of the implementation of the<br />

Declaration on the Strengthening of International Security” in the provisional<br />

agenda of its sixty-eighth session. For more information, refer to appendix<br />

V<strong>II</strong>I.<br />

Role of science and technology<br />

By its decision 66/515 of 2 December 2011, the General Assembly<br />

decided to include the item entitled “Role of science and technology in the<br />

context of international security and disarmament” in the provisional agenda<br />

of its sixty-seventh session. For more information on the subject, refer to<br />

appendix V<strong>II</strong>I.<br />
