Railteam is an alliance of European high-speed rail operators dedicated to making high-speed rail travel across Europe simple, seamless and sustainable by combining and extending its members’ services. As Railteam hubs, Lille Europe and Brussels-Midi/Zuid boast English speaking Railteam staff at information points within the stations and station announcements in English as well as French. Furthermore, all Train Managers on high-speed trains departing from Lille Europe and Brussels-Midi/Zuid are English speaking. What’s more, Railteam’s “hop on the next train” service means that if you miss your connection because of a delay on the preceding leg of your Railteam journey, you’ll automatically be put on the next available high-speed Railteam train. For more information about Railteam, visit www.railteam.eu CONNECTING FROM PARIS GARE DU NORD TO: PARIS GARE DE LYON Take RER line D, direction Melun, to Gare de Lyon. Or take métro line 5, direction Place d’Italie, to Bastille. Change at Bastille on to métro line 1, direction Chateau de Vincennes, for one stop to Gare de Lyon. PARIS GARE DE L’EST Take métro line 4, direction Porte d’Orleans, to Gare de l’Est. Or take métro line 5, direction Place d’Italie, for 1 stop to Gare de l’Est. Alternatively you can walk to Gare de l’Est in approximately 10 minutes. Exit Gare du Nord, turn left and walk along Rue de Dunkerque with the station on your left. At the end of the station you’ll reach a crossroads. Turn right on to Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis and walk until you reach Rue 8 Mai 1945, which is the fourth street on your left. Turn down Rue 8 mai 1945 and Gare de l’Est will be on your left. PARIS GARE MONTPARNASSE Take métro line 4, direction Porte d’Orleans, to Gare Montparnasse. PARIS GARE SAINT-LAZARE Take RER line E to Haussmann-Saint-Lazare. Take the Magenta exit out of the métro in Haussmann-Saint-Lazare and follow signs for “Grandes Lignes”. PARIS GARE AUSTERLITZ Take métro line 5, direction Place de l’Italie, to Gare Austerlitz.
CONNECTING IN LILLE: When you leave your Eurostar train at Lille Europe, take an escalator, lift or stairs up to the main station concourse. On the concourse you’ll see a large departure board. Look for your departure time and train number to fi nd the platform for your onward train. Take an escalator, lift or stairs down to the platform (“voie” in French) listed on the departure board. You should aim to get to your platform at least 10 minutes before your train’s departure, and remember to validate (or “composter”) your ticket by stamping it in one of the yellow “composteurs” near the escalators. Connections are also available via Lille Flandres station, which is one stop away on the Lille métro, or a 5 minute walk along Avenue Le Corbusier.
