* The scheme has been transferred from Plan to Non-Plan during the year 1997-98. A
budget provision of Rs.20 lakh was made in B.E.1997-98 under Plan.
8.5 APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING:
8.5.1 25 Graduate/Diploma Apprentices, 21 Draftsmen apprentices and 10 vocational apprentices
have undergone/undergoing training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 in the year 1997-98.
25 Graduate/Diploma Apprentices, 21 Draftsmen apprentices and 10 vocational
apprentices are likely to undergo training under the Apprentice Act,1961 in the year
1998-99.
8.5.2 RECOGNITION OF TRAINING INSTITUTES:
Following Training Institutes have been visited and recognised during the year
1997-98.
i) D.V.C. Training Institute at Chandrapura T.P.S. recognised for a period of
3 years w.e.f. 6/97.
ii) Plant Training Centre - Southern Generating Station of C.E.S.C. - recognised for
a period of 3 years (w.e.f. 6/97)
iii) Training Institute at Vijayawada Thermal Power Station of APSEB (w.e.f.
10/97).
iv) Thermal Training Institute at Ennore Thermal Power Institute of TNEB.
v) Following training institutes of Tata Electric Company:
a) Trombay Thermal Power Station Institute.
b) Dharavi Receiving Station.
vi) Thermal Training Institute at Korba TPS of MSEB.
