11.4.7 As a part of its efforts to mobilize resources for Power Projects, the Corporation has
approached the Government of India for additional US $ 500 million each from WB/
ADB. ADB has agreed in principle for new loan of US $ 250 million in the Pipeline for
1999 (stand by 1998) and a Technical Assistance (TA) of US $ 1 million.
The Corporation has also signed a framework agreement with IKB Deutsche Industry
Bank of Germany for line of credit of DM 100 million for financing imports from
Germany by Power Utilities in India.
In order to meet its growing requirement of funds to match the increasing disbursements,
the Corporation has successfully raised US $ 100 million through fixed rates 12 years
