July 15, 1748; m. Rebecca Brown; removed to Chester,<br />

Vt., where he d. Nov. 11, 1841.<br />

He was a private in the U. S. Army in the Revolutionary war.<br />

<strong>The</strong>ir children were :<br />

695-1. Martha <strong>Earle</strong>, b. April 12, 1780.<br />

696-2. David <strong>Earle</strong>, b. Feb. 15, 1782 ; m. Sophia Wicker, <strong>and</strong><br />

lived in Massena, N. Y. He had a son, Gardner, who<br />

d. in Massena.<br />

697-3. Rebecca <strong>Earle</strong>, b. Nov. 9, 1783 ; m. April 25, 1809,<br />

John Reed; d. March 11, 1813, in Chester, Vt.<br />

698-4. Roswell <strong>Earle</strong>, b. Dec. 13, 1785 ; m. Mary Partridge.<br />

699-5. William Anson <strong>Earle</strong>, b. 1790; m. 1st, Feb. 28, 1815,<br />

Polly Taylor (d. 1839) ; 2d, Feb. 16, 1840, Barbara<br />

Eldridge. Lived in Massena, N. Y.<br />

700-6. Belinda <strong>Earle</strong>.<br />

[295-5]. Thaddeus6 <strong>Earle</strong> (David,* William,"' <strong>Ralph</strong>,*<br />

William, 2 1 <strong>Ralph</strong> ), son of David <strong>and</strong> Martha <strong>Earle</strong>, b.<br />

April '> 29, 1754 m - Dorothy Shaw (banns pub. March 9,<br />

1774). He lived in Templeton, Mass., where he d. in<br />

1779. His widow m. Mower, <strong>and</strong> after <strong>his</strong> death<br />

she <strong>and</strong> her children removed, about 1803, to Westford,<br />

Vt. <strong>The</strong>ir <strong>descendants</strong> are numerous in Michigan, Illi-<br />

nois, Wisconsin <strong>and</strong> Iowa.<br />

<strong>The</strong> children of Thaddeus <strong>and</strong> Dorothy (Shaw) <strong>Earle</strong> were :<br />

701-1. Phebe <strong>Earle</strong>, b. 1774; m- James Dunlap.<br />

702-2. Alpheus <strong>Earle</strong>, b. June, 1776; m. Urania Stone.<br />

703-3. Calvin <strong>Earle</strong>, b. 1778; m. 1808, Eunice Whipple.<br />

<strong>Earle</strong> (David,* William ,4 <strong>Ralph</strong> ,* William<br />

1 <strong>Ralph</strong> ), son of David <strong>and</strong> Martha <strong>Earle</strong>, b. May 13,<br />

1762; m. Oct. 2, 1785, Eunice (d. Sept. 10, 1850), dau.<br />

of David Allen; <strong>and</strong> resided in Hardwick, Mass., where<br />

he d. Dec. 17, 1832.<br />

He was a farmer <strong>and</strong> devoted much attention to the breeding of<br />

mules for the southern market.<br />
