), dau. of Thaddeus <strong>and</strong> Dorothy<br />

(Shaw) <strong>Earle</strong>, b. in Templeton, Mass..; m. James<br />

Dunlap {d. 1826) ; lived in Templeton until 1820, when<br />

they removed to Westford, Vt., where she d. April, 1863.<br />

<strong>The</strong>ir children were :<br />

[702-2]. Alpheus 7 <strong>Earle</strong> (Thaddeus, 6 David,* William,*<br />

<strong>Ralph</strong>,* William, 2 <strong>Ralph</strong> 1<br />

), son of Thaddeus <strong>and</strong> Dorothy<br />

(Shaw) <strong>Earle</strong>, b. June, 1776, in Templeton, Mass. ;<br />

m. Urania Stone (b. 1773; d. May 25, 1850) ; lived in<br />

Westford, Vt., <strong>and</strong> d. June, 1836. Being in a boat, on<br />

Onion river, one of the row-locks broke, the boat went<br />

over a mill-dam, <strong>and</strong> he was drowned. His wife was<br />

burned to death in Michigan.<br />

<strong>The</strong> children of Alpheus <strong>and</strong> Urania (Stone) <strong>Earle</strong> were :<br />

1542- I. John <strong>Earle</strong>. He went to South America, about 1822, to<br />

put up mills for sawing mahogany, <strong>and</strong> never returned.<br />

1543- 2. Sophia <strong>Earle</strong>, b. July 19, 1801 ; m. Stephen V. Castle.
