Fourteenth Generation. Richard Arnold, of Somersetshire,<br />

" Emmote," dau. <strong>and</strong> heir of " Pearce Young," of Damerham,<br />

in Wiltshire.<br />

Fifteenth Generation. Richard Arnold, Lord of the Manor<br />

of Bagbere, County of Dorset, m. (<strong>his</strong> second wife) " Jaquita."<br />

Assessed for l<strong>and</strong>s in Dorset, in 1549. Will dated May 15, 1593.<br />

He desires to be buried in the Parish Church of Milton, in the Aisle<br />

called Jesus Aisle.<br />

Sixteenth Generation. Thomas Arnold of Melcome Horsey,<br />

of Cheselbourne, County Dorset; m. 1st, Alice, dau. of John Gully,<br />

of Northover, Parish of Tolpuddle, County Dorset.<br />

Eighteenth Generation. Richard Arnold, b. March 22, 1642 ;<br />

d. 1710; m. Sarah Angell. He owned a saw-mill <strong>and</strong> other real-<br />

i estate at what is now Woonsocket, R. I., <strong>and</strong> perhaps lived there at<br />

I some time, but <strong>his</strong> will was executed, in 1708, in Providence, <strong>and</strong> he<br />

d. there April 22, 1710.<br />

Nineteenth Generation. Richard Arnold, m. Mary Wood-<br />

j ward; lived in Smithfield, now Woonsocket, R. I., <strong>and</strong> d. in June,<br />
