<strong>and</strong> was killed on the railroad at Gassett's station, Vt.,<br />

April 10, 1869.<br />

He was a member of Co. E, 6th Reg., Vt. Vols, during the Civil<br />

War, <strong>and</strong> was discharged for disability after about eleven months'<br />

service. He soon recovered <strong>and</strong> entered the navy as fireman on the<br />

Gen. Pillow, on the Mississippi river. After <strong>his</strong> term of service<br />

there expired, he enlisted in Co. G, 7th Vt. Vols., of which he was<br />

a member when the war closed.<br />

<strong>The</strong> only child of Albert S. <strong>and</strong> Abbie J. (Snell) <strong>Earle</strong> was ;<br />

3123-1. Susie L. <strong>Earle</strong>, b. Jan. 24, 1867; m. Sept. 6, 1884,<br />

Elmer A. {b. Dec. 31, 1859), son °f William H. <strong>and</strong><br />

Eliza (Rumrill) Spaflbrd, <strong>and</strong> lives at Gassett's station;<br />

1 ch., Elmer Albert Spaflbrd, b. Sept. 25, 1886.<br />

B. Chedel, of North Springfield. He was a clergyman<br />

of the Second Advent denomination, <strong>and</strong> pastor of the A.<br />

C. church of Strafford, Vt., to which place he removed,<br />

in 1886, <strong>and</strong> d. there Oct. 19, 1886.
