removed to Gouverneur, St. Lawrence Co., N. Y., where<br />

Mr. Payne is a druggist.<br />

He went to Hermon with <strong>his</strong> father, in i860, <strong>and</strong> remained there<br />

till 1881, when he removed to Corning, Mo., where he remained<br />

about a year, <strong>and</strong> then returned to Hermon <strong>and</strong> was for a short time<br />

editor <strong>and</strong> printer of a county paper. In 18S4 he removed to<br />

Gouverneur, N. Y., where he is in the drug business with <strong>his</strong><br />

brother-in-law, Silas W. Payne.<br />
