Enoch <strong>and</strong> Lydia (<strong>Earle</strong>) Breed had the superintending charge of<br />

the Friends' Boarding School at Providence, R. I., from 1824 to<br />

1835, <strong>and</strong> again in a part of 1836 <strong>and</strong> 1837. He was an eminently<br />

honest <strong>and</strong> conscientious man, <strong>and</strong> she sometimes "appeared in the<br />

ministry " at the meetings for worship of the religious society with<br />

which they were connected.<br />

<strong>The</strong> children of John <strong>and</strong> Lydia (<strong>Earle</strong>) Fry were:<br />
