Enoch and Lydia (Earle) Breed had the superintending charge of
the Friends' Boarding School at Providence, R. I., from 1824 to
1835, and again in a part of 1836 and 1837. He was an eminently
honest and conscientious man, and she sometimes "appeared in the
ministry " at the meetings for worship of the religious society with
which they were connected.
