Compatibility
The default value of the RDMS-LEVEL attribute on the OPTIONS RDMS entity has
changed from PARTIAL to COMPLETE. Unless you set the RDMS-LEVEL attribute to
PARTIAL, RDMS will now store complete information (table, user-id, column, index, and
partition entities) in the repository when you define an RDMS table.
Migration
The new RDMS STATISTICS enhancement has migration consequences. There are two
new RDMS system tables - STATS_COMBINATIONS and STATS_HISTOGRAM - in the
APPLQUAL*STATS$FILE. The size of the APPLQUAL*STATS$FILE. has changed from
2,000 trks to 10,000 trks. These changes take effect upon the UREP INSTALL.
The new RDMS Role Security feature has migration consequences. There are two new
RDMS system tables - ROLES and ROLEMEMBERSHIP - in the
APPLQUAL*AUTH$FILE. The UREP INSTALL creates the tables and RDMS Catalog
views over the tables. For the tables and views to be created successfully, the
RDMS_CATALOG.RELATIONS view must exist. Before you do a migration UREP
INSTALL (Mode A) to UREP 12R1 on an existing application group, check for the
existence of the RDMS_CATALOG.RELATIONS view.
