Installing ClearPath OS 2200 Release
13.2 Software
This section provides the following information to assist you in installing the ClearPath
OS 2200 Release 13.2 products on your system:
• A migration planning checklist (Section 7.1)
• Installation considerations (Section 7.2)
• Other considerations (Section 7.3)
• Description of fast-load tapes (Section 7.4)
• Migration sequences (Section 7.5)—alternative procedures for migrating products as
follows:
− Installing products from fast-load tapes (Section 7.6)
− Installing products from package tapes (Section 7.7)
• Procedure for initializing an existing system (I-boot) (Section 7.8)
• Migration for existing Dorado 4000 customers (Section 7.9)
• Migration for existing Dorado 400 customers(Section 7.10)
• Migration for existing Dorado 4100 customers (Section 7.11)
This information is designed to help plan and carry out migration from an earlier release
to this release. It also provides information about initializing an existing ClearPath
OS 2200 server.
These procedures apply to all supported systems for this release as listed in Section 1.
Note: The migration sequence described in this section assumes that you are already
running ClearPath OS 2200 Release 12.0 or higher. If you are migrating to this release
from a release prior to 12.0 there may be important considerations that are no longer
documented here. To perform a migration from a release prior to 12.0 you may need to
consult the Planning and Migration Overview document associated with release 12.0 and
possibly prior releases to ensure that any migration issues introduced by all of the
intervening releases have been identified.
