Operations Server, Operations Sentinel, and Operations Workstation
The Operations Server runs Operations Sentinel and OS 2200 Server Management
Control. Redundant Operations Servers can be configured. Operations Servers are
attached to the maintenance LAN. Operations Server can be accessed from any
Operations Workstation configured on the maintenance LAN. Also, serial connections
between the Dorado 400 and 4000 Series partition cells and the Operations Servers
carry SAIL Console traffic.
OS 2200 Server Management Control
The OS 2200 Server Management Control manages the OS 2200 environment. This
includes partitioning, power management, initializing, booting, and maintaining the
OS 2200 environment. OS 2200 Server Management Control server software runs on
the Operations Server and can be accessed from any Operations Workstation configured
on the maintenance LAN.
The SMC also provides the power management and call home functions for Specialty
Engines connected to Dorado 300 and 700/800 servers.
SAIL Control Center
The SAIL Control Center provides utilities for configuration and administration of SAIL.
The SAIL Control Center is hosted by a web server running on SAIL and can be accessed
from any Operations Workstation configured on the maintenance LAN.

used. Table 3–6 details the names of components on the Dorado 300 and 700/800
servers.
