Urolce assister in normal released position. The
vacuum and atmospheric valve is all the way forward
uncovering Ihe passage in the op-rating tube and
| opening Ihe front chamber fo the intake vacuum line
I through the rear chamber VaCUUIXI Line
The brake pedal has been depressed just
enough for the valve to close Ihe passage between
i
the Iron! and rear chambers. The assister cannot
function as Ihe front chamber is not yet open lo Ihe
atmosphere
Further pedal movement has moved the valve
baclt for enough to uncover again the passage in the
operating
tube Iceeping closed the passage between
the fwo chambers, and thus opening the front chamber
to Ihe
atmosphere
