Revolution that lasted for 14 years managed to achieve<br />

wonderful military victories <strong>and</strong> introduced the Kurdish<br />

people internationally, in addition to gathering all the<br />

sects of the Kurdish people around it (21). It is necessary<br />

to clarify <strong>and</strong> evaluate that period, especially the sudden<br />

downfall of 1975, in a separate research so that the people<br />

would get the whole truth.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Kurdish Revolution 0f 11 September 1961 In<br />

After the coup of 14 July 1958 the Kurdish people<br />

gained the first official recognition of the existence of<br />

Iraqi constitution stated that the Arabs <strong>and</strong> the <strong>Kurds</strong> are<br />

partners in the homel<strong>and</strong>. <strong>The</strong> legal clarification of<br />

partnership means the full independence of all partners<br />

<strong>and</strong> consequently each partner has the right to end his<br />

partnership with the other party if the partnership became<br />

a liability for his interests <strong>and</strong> rule. Those who do not<br />

like the existence of an independent Kurdish identity in<br />

the region soon started using their corrupt pens <strong>and</strong><br />

conspiracies to ignite the hostility <strong>and</strong> calling the Iraqi<br />

government to annihilate the separatist Kurdish<br />

movement. <strong>The</strong>y also started promoting the solution of<br />

the Kurdish case in Iraq not by recognizing the legitimate<br />

national rights of the Kurdish people, but by ignoring<br />

them <strong>and</strong> melting the Kurdish people into the Arabism<br />

<strong>and</strong> Arab nation. This as a result led to the fact that the<br />

President of the Iraqi Republic Abdulkarim Qasem came<br />

under the influence of such hostile notions <strong>and</strong> started in<br />

a number of his speeches to convince the general public<br />

that “the <strong>Kurds</strong> are Arabs in origin”. On the other h<strong>and</strong><br />
