world war is impossible. A supporting factor for this<br />

was the strategy of using nuclear weapons; as they stopped<br />

being directed against other nations’ armies only, but to<br />

all their resources also. So, any direct strike to paralyze<br />

<strong>and</strong> kill to the real centers of power would not be withstood<br />

by anyone, be it the first striker or waiting for the second<br />

strike. Thus the impossibility of a nuclear war between<br />

the two super powers; the United States of America <strong>and</strong><br />

the Soviet Union, led to the fact that the other groups<br />

realized in turn that the protective umbrella provided by<br />

their senior partner would not be able to protect them,<br />

<strong>and</strong> the United States would not instigate a war unless<br />

the threat was to America directly. <strong>The</strong> same goes to<br />

the Soviet Union also. In this way the ideological <strong>and</strong><br />

political division which divided the world into two camps<br />

all through the cold war from 1945 to 1970 ended<br />

completely in 1972 barring few spread groups, which<br />

started to dissolve. France under General de Gaulles for<br />

instance started looking for its own methods for national<br />

security because America could not protect it, as did<br />

China under Mao Tzu Tong by looking for own protection<br />

as the Soviet Union could not provide protection, <strong>and</strong><br />

many others…<br />

<strong>The</strong> only exception was <strong>Kurdistan</strong> <strong>and</strong> the Kurdish<br />

liberation movement that did not look for own national<br />

security <strong>and</strong> stayed in danger in the new balance of the<br />

world as it was during the old balance. Even after the<br />

two super powers during Kennedy–Khrushchov era moved<br />

from the possibility of clashing to possibility of<br />

underst<strong>and</strong>ing, as it was summarized by the American<br />

President Nixon during the meeting of spring 1972 in<br />

Moscow, which was an important decisive moment by<br />
