CONSULTATION WITH OTHER COUNCIL DEPARTMENTS
Both the Natural Environments and Bushland Operations Division <strong>of</strong> Open Space and Regula<strong>to</strong>ry
Services have <strong>be</strong>en consulted in the formulation <strong>of</strong> this report.
SUMMARY
Amendments <strong>to</strong> the Noxious Weeds Act, 1993 have resulted in small, yet significant changes <strong>to</strong>
Council operations in relation <strong>to</strong> weed management and regulation.
RECOMMENDATION
A. That Council endorse the Class 4 weed Management Plans and delegate Council’s
General Manager with the authority <strong>to</strong> sign each <strong>of</strong> the plans for routine application
and consistency with Regional developments in weed management.
B. Council delegate functions under the Noxious Weeds Act, 1993 <strong>to</strong> staff as detailed in
attachment 1.
