6 April 2006 The applicant was informed <strong>of</strong> Council’s concerns relating <strong>to</strong> the
application.

12 May 2006 Applicant informed that Council was not in support <strong>of</strong> the application as
their response did not suitably address Council’s concerns raised in earlier
correspondence.
17 May 2006 Class 1 appeal lodged against deemed refusal <strong>of</strong> the application.
5 June 2006 Council <strong>of</strong>ficers advise applicant that they would consider amendments,
subject <strong>to</strong> appeal <strong>be</strong>ing discontinued. Call-over postponed <strong>to</strong> 27 July 2006
pending the Council <strong>meeting</strong>.
22 June 2006 Applicant submitted amended plans addressing Council’s concerns.

The site is located on the southern corner <strong>of</strong> the ‘T’ intersection <strong>of</strong> Turramurra Avenue and Wonga
Wonga Street, Turramurra. The site comprises 5 separate parcels <strong>of</strong> land and is generally
rectangular in shape, measuring 5,915sqm. The site has a frontage <strong>of</strong> 98.6m <strong>to</strong> Turramurra Avenue
and 58.2m <strong>to</strong> Wonga Wonga Street. The site contains a num<strong>be</strong>r <strong>of</strong> significant trees that are
predominantly located along the Turramurra Avenue and Wonga Wonga Street frontages, providing
a distinctive landscape character for the site.
Surrounding development:
Development <strong>to</strong> the north comprises large detached dwellings, predominantly 2 s<strong>to</strong>rey’s in height
on land zoned 2(c2) residential. Development <strong>to</strong> the south comprises single and two s<strong>to</strong>rey
dwellings. Adjacent <strong>to</strong> the site, is 2 Nulla Nulla Street, which is listed as a heritage item <strong>of</strong> local
significance. Further <strong>to</strong> the south, there is mixture <strong>of</strong> single and two s<strong>to</strong>rey dwellings on land zoned
2(d3) and 2(c2). Turramurra Uniting Church is located on the western side <strong>of</strong> Turramurra Avenue,
south <strong>of</strong> Nulla Nulla Street. Turramurra retail and commercial precinct, Pacific Highway and the
northern railway line are further <strong>to</strong> the south <strong>of</strong> the site.
