Changing Page Properties
You can change the page's background, border, and opacity in the Appearance tab of the Properties pane, and add
padding to the inner edges of the page in the Layout section of the Properties pane. You can also add a tracing image to
the General tab of the Properties pane to use as a guide for placing elements (for details, see "Using a Tracing Image" on
page 158). In addition, on the General tab you can set the page level optimize settings, see "Optimizing at the Page Level"
on page 138.
To change the page properties, click the page in the Canvas, or select Page in the Page Outline pane. After selecting the
page, the page properties appear in the Properties pane on the right side of the Project Editor next to the Canvas, as
shown in Figure 7-5 on page 160.

Changing the Page Background
To change the page background, on the Properties panel's Appearance tab, choose Color, Linear Gradient, Image Fill, or
None for the Background drop-down menu. Choosing None specifies no background color, gradient, or image (for
example, if you already selected a color, gradient, or image, select None to delete it).
