Changing the Element Position
In addition to placing an element freely on the page (for details, see "Placing Elements on a Page" on page 168), you can
position the element using precise page coordinates. Click inside the X and Y Position fields to enter pixel coordinates
using the top left corner of the element as the zero point of origin — for example, entering 20 pixels for the X position
places the element exactly 20 pixels to the right of the left edge of the page; entering 50 pixels for the Y position places
the element exactly 50 pixels down from the top of the page.
You can also use the keywords "center", "left", and "right" for the X Position field (for example, "center" centers the
element horizontally on the page), and "top", "middle", or "bottom" with the Y Position field. You can also specify a
percentage (such as "60%" in the Y Position field to place an element starting at exactly 60% of the distance from the top
of the page).
Changing the Element Padding
You can also add padding to Text, Label, Button, Image, and Container widget elements. Padding creates space around
the inside edges within the element. To add padding, enter the number of pixels in the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right fields
next to the Padding heading.
Changing the Element Rotation
To rotate an element on the Canvas, you can click the Rotate button (with the circular arrow icon ) located on the
bottom toolbar, beneath the Canvas. Alternatively, you can rotate the element to a precise angle of rotation using the
Rotation field on the Properties pane's Layout tab. In the Rotation field, enter the exact rotation degree value.
