About Social Media Widgets
5ml includes several Social Media widgets you can place on a page so that the user can share the page on the Facebook
and Twitter social media sites:
• Google +1 widget: Creates a Google +1 "Like" button on a page. You provide the URL of the page that the user
can "+1" (and share on Google). You can choose the Google +1 element layout size; standard, small, medium, or
tall. You can also choose to show the +1 counter.
• Facebook Like widget: Creates a Facebook "Like" button in a standard layout that shows the faces of other Facebook
friends who "like" your page, or in a layout that shows only a button with a counter of other "likes" or a box
with a counter of other "likes". You provide the URL of the page that the user can "like" (and share on Facebook).
You can choose a light or dark color scheme and a different font, and change the verb from "Like" to "Recommend".
• Tweet Button widget: Creates a Twitter "Tweet" button with or without a counter of other tweet messages about
your page, and with optional text for the tweet message to post on in the user's Twitter feed. You provide the
URL that Twitter users share when they tap the Tweet button, and the usernames for two Twitter accounts that
users can tap to follow.
• Twitter Follow widget: Creates a "Follow Me on Twitter" button with a choice of button styles. You provide the
username for the Twitter account that users follow as a result of tapping the button.
Click the Widgets tab at the top of the Library pane to show the Widgets pane in the Library. You can then select Social
Media in the drop-down menu under the Widgets tab, as shown in Figure 14-1 on page 346 (or select All in the drop-down
menu to see all widgets).
To place a widget on a page and create an element from it, drag the widget from the Widgets pane to the Canvas. You
can then resize, align, and arrange the element to fit your ad page design (for details, see "Working in the Project Editor"
