CHAPTER 12: Using Effects and Animation Widgets
Figure 12-21: Changing the type of animated particle in the Particles widget element to Snow.
You can use your own custom particles by uploading the particle image(s) into the Assets library. For information about
how to upload an image, see "Importing Images" on page 149. On the Particles Properties pane's General Tab, from the
Type drop-down menu, choose Custom. Under the Type drop-down menu an image well appears. Drag and drop the
custom particle image(s) from the Assets library into the image well, as shown in Figure 12-22 on page 306. (You can add
one or more particle images. To remove an image, select the image and click on the bin icon.) When implementing
custom particles you need to consider the image size and the image density (number of images). Also, consider how
rendering the image size and density affects the mobile user experience and how the particles will render on a variety of
mobile devices. For more information, contact your Velti representative.
