Figure 11-20 : Dragging an audio file from the Assets pane to the Audio widget's Source field to place it inside an Audio
element already on the page.
To change the Audio element's properties, select the element on the page or in the Page Outline pane. The Properties
pane for the element appears on the right side of the Project Editor.
You can customize the Audio element by changing properties in the Properties pane:
• The General tab lets you define the Audio element's optional ID. You can set the audio player controls to be visible
or hidden by choosing Visible or Hidden from the Controls drop-down menu. The user can then tap or click the
audio to see the controls. Using the controls the user can play, pause, and turn the sound on or off. In the Options
section, you can set the audio content to play automatically or only when the user clicks on the play control. You
can also set the audio content to play in a loop and you can choose whether to preload the audio content.
(Preloading the audio reduces the response time when the user clicks to play the audio; however, it increases the
initial page load time.) For details, see "Changing General Properties" on page 197
If you enable the tracking feature for the project, then you see additional options on the General tab. You can
choose to track when the user starts the audio (either auto or manual play), pauses the audio (manual pause), and
when the audio ends (either auto or manual stop). In the Label and Category fields you can enter custom values to
create report tags to sort and aggregate the events in tracking reports.
