CHAPTER 11: Using Media Widgets
Figure 11-3: Dragging an image from the Assets pane to the Image widget's Source field to place it inside an Image
element already on the page.
To reduce the time to load an image, you can embed the image into the page's HTML file (in base64 format). To embed
an image, select the Image element, open the Properties pane's advanced view, and select the image-embed checkbox.
To set the image to be downloadable (for example, to download a wallpaper image), select the Image element and then
select the Downloadable checkbox on the Properties pane's General tab. The mobile user can tap on the image and save
it to their mobile device.
To change the Image element's properties, select the element on the page or in the Page Outline pane. The Properties
pane for the element appears on the right side of the Project Editor with the following tabs:
• The General tab lets you define the Image element's action and optional ID. For details, see "Changing General
Properties" on page 197.
• The Appearance tab lets you set the element's border, opacity, and add a reflection and shadow to the element.
For details, see "Changing Appearance Properties" on page 198.
• The Layout tab lets you set the size of the element and its position on the page. You can also constrain the proportions
of the element so that the aspect ratio stays the same when freely resizing it on the Canvas. For details,
see "Changing Layout Properties" on page 214.
• The Behavior tab lets you associate the Image element with an event and an action to be performed. See "Changing
Behavior Properties" on page 223 for details.
