CHAPTER 10: Using Shape Widgets
Using the Triangle Widget
The Triangle Widget lets you add a Triangle element to a page. You may want to use it to define a triangular section of
the page and then fill the triangle with color, a linear gradient, or an image. You can change the element's appearance
and its layout on the page.
To place a Triangle element on a page, drag the Triangle widget from the Shapes section of the Widgets pane to the
Canvas. You can then resize, align, and arrange the element to fit your page design (for details, see "Working in the
Project Editor" on page 154).
To customize the Triangle element, select the element on the page or in the Page Outline pane, as shown in Figure 10-4
on page 259. The Properties pane for the element appears on the right side of the Project Editor with the following tabs:
• The General tab lets you define the element's optional ID.For details, see "Changing General Properties" on page
197.
• The Appearance tab lets you set the element's background color and opacity, and add a reflection and shadow to
the element. For details, see "Changing Appearance Properties" on page 198.
• The Layout tab lets you set the size of the element and its position on the page. You can also constrain the proportions
of the element so that the aspect ratio stays the same when freely resizing it on the Canvas. For details,
see "Changing Layout Properties" on page 214.
• The Behavior tab lets you associate the Triangle element with an event and an action to be performed. See
"Changing Behavior Properties" on page 223 for details.
