CHAPTER 13: Using Layout and Navigation Widgets • The Layout tab lets you set the size of the entire HBox element and its position on the page, and the amount of padding within the element. You can also constrain the proportions of the element so that the aspect ratio stays the same when freely resizing it on the Canvas. 5ml User's Guide Using the VBox Widget The VBox widget lets you create a vertical box for laying out page elements. Each asset or widget you drag into the VBox is automatically placed vertically in a column, below the previous one. As you add more elements, the VBox grows taller. You can set an offset (in pixels) between the elements inside the VBox, and change the appearance of the VBox separately from the other elements and from the page itself. To place the widget on a page and create a VBox element, drag the widget from the Layout tab of the Widgets pane to the Canvas, as shown in Figure 13-10 on page 323. You can then resize, align, and arrange the element to fit your page design (for details, see "Working in the Project Editor" on page 154). Figure 13-10: Placing a VBox widget on a page.
