5ml User's Guide Aligning Elements Using Page and Element Snap-to Grid Lines When placing elements on a page you can use the snap-to grid lines to align elements. Snap-to works in two ways; snapto align with a page grid line or snap-to align with another element. The snap-to page grid lines are located at the vertical center and horizontal center of the page, as well as at each (top, bottom, right, or left ) edge of the page, as shown in Figure 7-17 on page 179. The element's outline has six snap-to points. This lets you align the element's top, bottom, right, or left edge with a page grid line or align its vertical center or horizontal center to a page grid line. For example, you can align a Button element's bottom edge with the page's horizontal center snap-to grid line, and align its vertical center points with the page's vertical center line snap-to grid line, as shown in Figure 7-17 on page 179. Or, you can align a button element's top and left edges with the page's top and left snap-to grid lines, also shown in Figure 7-17 on page 179. Figure 7-17: Snap-to page grid lines.
