5ml User's Guide About Common Widgets 5ml includes several Common widgets to create page elements, including forms, in your project: • Text widget: Creates a simple text element. You can change its appearance, including the text font family and size, text formatting within the element, and the element's layout on the page. It also provides a HTML editor so you can include more advanced content, for example, a link. • Label widget: Creates an interactive text element. You can assign an action to the label element to be performed when the user taps the element. You can also change the element's appearance, including the text font family and size, text formatting within the element, character spacing, and the element's layout on the page. • Button widget: Creates an interactive button with a border and text. You can assign an action to the button element to be performed when the user taps the button. You can also change the element's appearance, including the text font family and size, text formatting within the element, and the element's layout on the page. • Text Input widget: Creates a simple text entry form field. You can change the element's appearance, including the text font family and size, text formatting within the element, character spacing, and its layout on the page. You can also add prompt text and define the maximum number of characters that can be entered into the form field. • Text Area widget: Creates a text entry form field similar to the Text Input widget, but with a larger entry field that does not have a limit on the maximum number of characters you can enter. You can change the element's appearance, including the text font family and size, text formatting within the element, character spacing, and the element's layout on the page. You can also add prompt text. • Checkbox widget: Creates an interactive checkbox element to represent a selection choice. You can assign an action to the element to be performed when the user selects the element and submits the form. You can also change the element's appearance, including the text font family and size, text formatting within the element, character spacing, and the element's layout on the page. • Radio Button widget: Creates an interactive radio button element to represent a selection choice. Once you place two or more Radio Button widgets on a page and associate them together, you can select one Radio Button element to be the default selection. You can change the element's appearance, including the text font family and size, text formatting within the element, character spacing, and the element's layout on the page. You can also label the radio button and assign it a value. • List Menu widget: Creates an interactive drop-down list menu element to represent a list of choices to choose from. You can define the menu selections and assign one selection to be the default selection. You can also assign an action to the element to be performed when the user selects the element and submits the form. You can change the element's appearance, including the text font family and size, text formatting within the element, character spacing, and the element's layout on the page. • Password Input widget: Creates a password entry field. You can change the element's appearance, including the text font family and size, text formatting within the element, character spacing, and its layout on the page. You can also add prompt text and define the maximum number of characters that can be entered into the form field. Click the Widgets tab at the top of the Library pane to show the Widgets pane.
