CHAPTER 11: Using Media Widgets In the Options section, you can set the video content to play automatically or only when the user clicks on the play control. You can also set the video content to play in a loop and you can choose whether to preload the video content. (Preloading the video reduces the response time when the user clicks to play the video; however, it increases the initial page load time.) For details, see "Changing General Properties" on page 197 If you enable the tracking feature for the project, then you see additional options on the General tab. You can choose to track when the user starts the video, pauses the video, and when the video ends (either auto or manual stop). In the Label and Category fields you can enter custom values to create report tags to sort and aggregate the events in tracking reports. For details, see "Changing Appearance Properties" on page 198. • The Layout tab lets you set the size of the element and its position on the page. 5ml User's Guide Using the YouTube Widget The YouTube widget places a YouTube video clip on a page with controls for users to play or pause the video, scrub through the video, adjust the sound, play the video full-screen, and jump to the YouTube page where the video resides. To place the YouTube element on a page, drag the widget from the Media section of the Widgets pane to the Canvas, as shown in Figure 11-27 on page 285. You can then resize, align, and arrange the element to fit your page design (for details, see "Working in the Project Editor" on page 154). The Properties pane for the element appears on the right side of the Project Editor. To assign a YouTube video clip to the element, enter the YouTube video ID (not the entire URL for the YouTube video, just the ID portion at the end of the URL) in the Video ID field in the General tab at the top of the YouTube Properties pane, as shown in Figure 11-28 on page 286. - 285 -
