2. Click the HTML color code box at the left end of the gradient line to show the color picker.<br />

3. Click inside the color picker to pick the starting color for the gradient, as shown in Figure 7-10 on page 164.<br />

4. Drag the slider on the right side of the color picker to adjust the color component value (from saturated to black).<br />

5. Click the HTML color code box at the right end of the gradient line to show the color picker.<br />

6. Click inside the color picker to pick the ending color for the gradient.<br />

7. Drag the slider on the right side of the color picker to adjust the color component value (from saturated to black).<br />

8. Click one of the two gradient buttons underneath the gradient line to set the gradient to flow from top to bottom, as<br />

shown in Figure 7-11 on page 165, or from side to side.<br />

To experiment with the gradient, you can click the button to the right of the two gradient buttons to switch the starting and<br />

ending colors of the gradient.<br />
