60.2 Format Alarm<br />

60.3 Reference Alarm<br />

When set to Normal (default), an alarm will be triggered whenever the format of the<br />

selected input video signal is incompatible with the selected output format (refer to<br />

the matrix of inputs <strong>and</strong> compatibilities presented in Chapter 2). If you want the<br />

<strong>FS1</strong> alarm to only trigger on hardware failures, you can suppress the Format Alarm.<br />

60.2 Format Alarm Description of Choices<br />

Parameter Adjustments:<br />

Normal (default)<br />

Suppress<br />

Alarm triggers if the format of the selected input video signal is incompatible with<br />

the selected output format.<br />

Alarm will not be triggered by a format incompatibility.<br />

This parameter controls how the <strong>FS1</strong> responds to various reference video signal<br />

conditions. When set to Normal, the alarm will trigger when:<br />

1. The reference signal is incompatible with the selected output format or is not<br />

detected at all.<br />

2. The reference signal is required, due either to 1.1 Output format set to “Follow<br />

Ref” or 6.1 Genlock Source set to “Reference.”<br />

If you want the <strong>FS1</strong> alarm to only trigger on hardware failures, you can suppress the<br />

Format Alarm.<br />

60.3 Reference Alarm Description of Choices<br />

The alarm triggers if the reference is missing or incompatible with the selected<br />

output format.<br />

Alarms are not triggered if the reference is missing or incompatible with the output.
