EMPLOYMENT EQUITY PLANCHRIS HANI DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY ANNUAL REPORT 2011 / 2012The municipality has developed an Employment Equity Plan (EEP) informed andguided by the Employment Equity Act no 55 of 1998 and National Department ofLabour’s Code of Good Practice on Employment Equity Plans. The main objectiveof the plan seeks to achieve reasonable progress towards equity in the workforce.The workforce analysis conducted revealed underrepresentation of persons fromdesignated groups and people with disabilities.<strong>Chris</strong> <strong>Hani</strong> <strong>District</strong> <strong>Municipality</strong> has decided on an EEP with a term of two years, i.e.01 July 2010 until 30 June 2012 which is aligned to the remaining period of the fiveyear Integrated Development Plan.
