For the application to function properly, it will be necessary to satisfy the additional requirements.After you have determined the minimum hardware requirements for an OS, you shouldensure that all the hardware in the computer is compatible with the operating system thatyou have selected for your customer.Hardware Compatibility ListMost operating systems have a hardware compatibility list (HCL) that can be found on themanufacturer’s website, as shown in Figure 5-3. These lists provide a detailed inventory ofhardware that has been tested and is known to work with the operating system.
