2. Salary Sacrifice3. Time off in Lieu (TOIL)a) Voluntary access to flexible remuneration packaging is available to employeeson a salary sacrifice basis in accordance with policies and guidelines issued byWCS from time to time.b) All costs incurred as a result of remuneration packaging under <strong>the</strong>se provisionswill be met by <strong>the</strong> employee.a) An employee who works hours in excess of <strong>the</strong>ir normal working hours may beentitled to time off in lieu for any hours worked between 7.00am to 7.30pmMonday to Friday or when <strong>the</strong> program is regularly operating from Monday toSaturday as follows:b) TOIL is worked at <strong>the</strong> request of <strong>the</strong> Manager or Team Leader for anextraordinary event on during peak workloads. It is not a means by whichadditional hours are worked for <strong>the</strong> accrual of TOIL.c) The option to take TOIL is at <strong>the</strong> election of <strong>the</strong> employee and subject to <strong>the</strong>prior agreement of its accrual of <strong>the</strong> Team Leader.d) Time-in-lieu is to be taken on an hour for hour basis up to a maximum of 10hours accumulative per fortnight to a maximum of 20 hours a month. If TOIL isnot taken within two months it is forfeited.e) TOIL is accumulated as a result of extra workloads performed, not for apurpose. TOIL is not used to accumulate time in order to take extra time off at alater stage. TOIL can be taken subject to <strong>the</strong> agreement of <strong>the</strong> Team Leader.f) Any TOIL accrued will be taken before any recreation leave, when recreationleave is requested including during stand down periods.g) Overtime or TOIL does not apply when attending courses, conferences or whentravelling away from WCS.4. First Aid, Fire Warden and OH&S Representative Allowancesa) To ensure OH&S regulations are complied with, WCS is required to appoint acertain number of First Aid Officers. In recognition of <strong>the</strong> above requirements,employees who are appointed as First Aid Officers will be paid an allowance perfortnight.b) The allowance rate is $21.59 per fortnight effective 1 July 2009. This rate is basedon <strong>the</strong> ACT Public Service base level * First Aid rate. The rate is calculated on <strong>the</strong>current ACTPS rate of $20.93 plus <strong>the</strong> WCS indexation increase of 3.15%applicable as from 1 July 2009. This increases <strong>the</strong> allowance by 66 cents to $21.59per fortnight for 2009/10.c) *A Certificate awarded by a Registered Training Organisation that is accredited todeliver First Aid training. This would normally be based on a minimum of 8 hourstraining and would include: Expired Air (EAR), Cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR), life threatening emergencies and general minor first aid treatment.d) The above allowance will also apply to employees who are appointed as FireWarden and/or as Occupational Health and Safety Representative.Community Sector Multiple Business Agreements 2006
