<strong>the</strong> registration of <strong>the</strong> motor vehicle, <strong>the</strong> employee is entitled to be paid, by way ofreimbursement, an amount equal to <strong>the</strong> amount of <strong>the</strong> excess.18.6 Where an employee uses a motor vehicle under subclause 18.1 and, by reason of thatuse, <strong>the</strong> employee is required to pay an amount by way of full comprehensive insurancepremium that exceeds <strong>the</strong> amount that <strong>the</strong> employee would o<strong>the</strong>rwise have beenrequired to pay by way of full comprehensive insurance premium, <strong>the</strong> employee isentitled to be paid by way of reimbursement an amount equal to <strong>the</strong> amount of <strong>the</strong>excess.18.7 Travelling expensesAn employee required to stay away from home overnight shall be reimbursed <strong>the</strong> costof reasonable board, lodgings and meals. Reasonable proof of costs so incurred is to beprovided by <strong>the</strong> employee to <strong>the</strong>ir employer.19. ON-CALL ALLOWANCE19.1 An employee required to be on-call (ie. available for recall to duty) during <strong>the</strong> periodcommencing from <strong>the</strong> time of finishing ordinary duty on Monday and <strong>the</strong> termination ofordinary duty on Friday shall be paid an allowance equal to two hours' ordinary pay forany specified 24 hour period or part <strong>the</strong>reof.19.2 An employee required to be on-call during <strong>the</strong> period commencing after <strong>the</strong> terminationof ordinary duty on Friday and <strong>the</strong> commencement of ordinary duty on Monday or on apublic holiday shall be paid an allowance equal to four hours' ordinary pay for anyspecified 24 hour period or part <strong>the</strong>reof.20. PROTECTIVE CLOTHING20.1 Where it is necessary that an employee wear protective clothing on duty, <strong>the</strong> employermust reimburse <strong>the</strong> employee for <strong>the</strong> cost of purchasing such clothing.20.2 The provisions of clause 20.1 do not apply where <strong>the</strong> clothing is supplied to <strong>the</strong>employee at <strong>the</strong> employer’s expense.20.3 Where protective clothing is supplied without cost to <strong>the</strong> employee it will remain <strong>the</strong>property of <strong>the</strong> employer.21. FIRST AID CERTIFICATEAn employee who holds a current first aid certificate issued by <strong>the</strong> St John's AmbulanceAssociation or Australian Red Cross Society or equivalent qualification, and who is requiredby his/her employer to perform first aid duty at his/her workplace, shall be paid an allowanceof $11.07 per week.22. TELEPHONE ALLOWANCE22.1 An employer shall reimburse <strong>the</strong> employee for <strong>the</strong> cost of telephone calls necessarilyincurred as a result of <strong>the</strong>ir employment.Community Sector Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2009
