31.3 Provided fur<strong>the</strong>r, that <strong>the</strong> employee shall notify his/her employer as soon aspossible of <strong>the</strong> time and date upon which he/she is requesting to be absent for <strong>the</strong>purpose of donating blood.31.4 Reasonable proof of attendance of <strong>the</strong> employee at <strong>the</strong> recognised place for <strong>the</strong>purpose of donating blood and <strong>the</strong> duration of such attendance shall be furnishedby <strong>the</strong> employee to <strong>the</strong>ir employer if required.32. ABORIGINAL and TORRES STRAIT ISLANDER CUSTOM ANDTRADITIONAL LAW32.1 An employee who is able to establish to <strong>the</strong> employer that <strong>the</strong>y have an obligationunder Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander custom and/or traditional law toparticipate in ceremonial activities, shall be granted special leave.32.2 An employee shall be on special leave in accordance with this clause where <strong>the</strong>employee can establish that although he/she is not entitled to leave in accordancewith clause 23, he/she has an obligation in ceremonial activities due to <strong>the</strong> majorAboriginal or Torres Strait Islander family significance of a bereavement.32.3 An employee who is entitled to leave in accordance with clause 23 and has fullyutilised such leave, shall be on special leave in accordance with this clause where<strong>the</strong> employee can establish to <strong>the</strong> employer that <strong>the</strong>y are under an obligation toparticipate in ceremonial activities due to <strong>the</strong> major Aboriginal or Torres StraitIslander family significance of a bereavement.32.4 For <strong>the</strong> purpose of this clause, an employee shall be on special leave for <strong>the</strong> periodhe/she can establish to <strong>the</strong> employer is necessary to fulfil his/her obligation.32.5 Special leave granted pursuant to this clause shall be unpaid leave.33. CULTURAL LEAVE33.1 An employee who is able to establish to <strong>the</strong> employer that he/she has anobligation under his/her cultural heritage to participate in ceremonial activitiesshall be granted special leave.33.2 An employee shall be on special leave for <strong>the</strong> period he/she can establish to <strong>the</strong>employer is necessary to fulfil his/her obligation.33.3 Special leave granted pursuant to this clause shall be unpaid leave.PART 6.DISPUTE RESOLUTION, TERMINATION ANDREDUNDANCY34.
