8.6.3 If an employee in receipt of a meal allowance is recalled to work, <strong>the</strong> provisionsof paragraph 8.6.4 apply.8.6.4 When an employee is interrupted during a meal break by a call to duty, <strong>the</strong> extentof <strong>the</strong> interruption shall be counted as time worked and <strong>the</strong> employee shallcontinue <strong>the</strong> meal break as soon as practicable. If it is impracticable for <strong>the</strong>employee to complete <strong>the</strong> meal break during <strong>the</strong> remainder of <strong>the</strong> ordinaryworking hours, <strong>the</strong> employee shall receive <strong>the</strong> appropriate overtime pay for <strong>the</strong>time worked.8.6.5 There shall be at least one tea break of not less than fifteen minutes per shift andthis break shall be counted as time worked.8.7 Rosters8.7.1 The ordinary hours of work for each employee shall be displayed on a roster in aplace conveniently accessible to employees at least fourteen days before <strong>the</strong>commencement of <strong>the</strong> day on which <strong>the</strong> roster commences.8.7.2 A roster may be altered to enable <strong>the</strong> service of <strong>the</strong> organisation to be carried onin an emergency by mutual agreement.8.7.3 Every employee shall be entitled to consecutive rostered days off duty unlessvaried by mutual agreement.8.7.4 An employee shall have at least ten hours free from duty between <strong>the</strong> completionof one rostered shift and <strong>the</strong> commencement of <strong>the</strong> next rostered shift.8.7.5 If an employee is unable to have a break between shifts as provided for inparagraph 8.7.4 because of an emergency or when ano<strong>the</strong>r employee is absentfrom duty <strong>the</strong> employee shall be paid <strong>the</strong> appropriate overtime pay for all timeworked in excess of <strong>the</strong>ir normal shift until such time as a break can be taken.8.8 Night shift8.8.1 Except as provided in subclause 8.5, <strong>the</strong> period of night duty to be worked by anemployee shall not exceed eight weeks in any six monthly period.8.8.2 The provisions of paragraph 8.8.1:8.8.2(a)8.8.2(b)May be varied by mutual agreement; orShall not apply if <strong>the</strong> employee is required to perform duty to enable <strong>the</strong>services of <strong>the</strong> organisation to be carried on in an emergency.8.8.3 Except in cases of emergency, at least fourteen days' notice shall be given to anemployee going on night duty.8.8.4 An employee changing from night duty (where at least two consecutive nightshifts were worked) to day duty or from day duty (where at least two consecutiveCommunity Sector Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2009
