D17 Youth Coalition of <strong>the</strong> ACTThe following additional terms are only binding on Youth Coalition of <strong>the</strong> ACT and <strong>the</strong>employees of Youth Coalition of <strong>the</strong> ACT.1. WagesEmployees will receive a 3.5% wage increase from 1 July 2009 in lieu of <strong>the</strong> 3.15 wageincrease prescribed in section 9 of this agreement.2. Christmas ShutdownThe employee is entitled to paid leave at <strong>the</strong> ordinary rate for <strong>the</strong> ordinary working daysbetween Christmas Day and New Years Day.3. Special LeaveSpecial leave may be granted for approved purposes at <strong>the</strong> discretion of <strong>the</strong> Director. Specialleave may be granted without deduction of pay for up to five ordinary working days in anyone year. Special leave is not cumulative.4. Bereavement LeaveBereavement leave may be granted for a period not exceeding <strong>the</strong> number of hours worked by<strong>the</strong> employee in five ordinary days’ work within <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r conditions specified under Clause23 of this agreement.5. Family ResponsibilitiesIn <strong>the</strong> event of a child, partner, or o<strong>the</strong>r family member who is dependent on <strong>the</strong> employeebecoming sick or in need of care, <strong>the</strong> employee shall be entitled to special leave withoutdeduction of pay for up to ten ordinary working days in any one year. FamilyResponsibilities leave is not cumulative.6. Maternity LeaveIn addition to <strong>the</strong> conditions agreed to under Clause 27 of this agreement, a pregnantemployee, who has completed 12 months service, shall be entitled to twelve weeks paidmaternity leave, commencing not less than two weeks before <strong>the</strong> presumed date ofconfinement.7. Birthday LeaveEmployees are entitled to a paid day off for <strong>the</strong>ir birthday. This day does not attract a leaveloading. If <strong>the</strong> birthday falls on a weekend <strong>the</strong>n a weekday can be negotiated with <strong>the</strong>Director. The day off must be taken within 4 weeks of <strong>the</strong> employee’s birthday.8. Fulltime HoursFulltime hours at <strong>the</strong> Youth Coalition of <strong>the</strong> ACT is set at 35 hours per week.9. Time in LieuEmployees are able to accrue time in lieu up to 20 hours per month. Employees will only beable to retain time in lieu hours over <strong>the</strong> 20 hour limit with <strong>the</strong> prior agreement of <strong>the</strong>Director.Community Sector Multiple Business Agreements 2006
