Servicing Standard Outside Escutcheon Parts3. Remove the dual validation reader assembly from the outsideescutcheon, sliding the reader cable through the slot in theescutcheon. See Figure 9.21.Note: To determine the read head track position for ordering a dualvalidation reader replacement kit, look at the back of the reader forthe label that states, “This reader was factory set to read dualvalidation track no. 1 2.” The track number is circled.
