TroubleshootingWhen communicatingbetween a PC or PDA, orPDA and lock or exithardware trim you see amessage thatcommunications has failed.a. Communications cable(s) is(are) not connected properly.b. The primary wire harness isdamaged or disconnected.c. Communications cable or portis faulty or damaged.a. Check all cable connections.b. Check the primary wire harness. If it’sdamaged, replace the wire harness.For standard locks, see page 9–10. For exithardware trim, see page 10–10.c. Try communicating with another device orPC.
