Mortise LocksInstalling the lockOutsidemountingplateInsidemountingplate7 Install mounting plates1 Insert the outside mounting plate through the doorand mortise case.2 Position the inside mounting plate opposite theoutside mounting plate and screw them securely inplace.Caution: Do not overtighten the mounting platescrews. Installing the lock9 Install core (EV and FV only)1 Insert the control key into the core and rotate the key15 degrees to the right.2 With the control key in the core, insert the core intothe cylinder.3 Rotate the control key 15 degrees to the left andwithdraw the key.Caution: The control key can be used to removecores and to access doors. Mortise LocksCylinderCoreControl key10 Remove backup battery tabCaution 1: For the lock to operate properly, youmust remove the backup battery tab.Caution 2: Do not connect the battery pack beforeyou have removed the backup battery tab.
