Designed for easy integrationinto a standard 4-wire system, theCI can easily replace traditionalcontact probes with a type J or typeK thermocouple output, or with a0-5 volt output if your application issusceptible to noise or requires alonger cable run.The CI is the suggested replacementfor the IR Junior and is designed tomeasure target temperatures rangingfrom 0 to 500°C (32 to 932°F).The CI’s onboard electronics areprotected by a rugged IP 65(NEMA-4) stainless steel housingand the sensor can function inambient temperatures to 70°C(160°F) without cooling. With watercooling, the CI can withstandambient temperatures to 260°C(500°F).Because the CI has the same 50Ohm output impedance as a thermocouple,it functions accurately—without offset errors—when used inconjunction with the thermocouplebreak protection circuitry in mostcontrollers, displays, and transmitters.Compact.
