Customers of this service<br />
External:<br />
QuickPlaces (CoPs) are accessible to anyone outside of <strong>BCIT</strong> on a “by invitation”<br />
basis. The administrator of the QuickPlace can invite external participants into<br />
the QuickPlace. The “administrator” is the owner of a specific QuickPlace.<br />
The general public will be able to access blogs that do not have restricted<br />
membership.<br />
Students:<br />
All <strong>BCIT</strong> students have my<strong>BCIT</strong> accounts automatically generated when they first<br />
register for a <strong>BCIT</strong> course. my<strong>BCIT</strong> groups are available to all students.<br />
Students will be able to access the following collaboration tools provided that<br />
they are registered in courses utilizing these tools:<br />
� QuickPlace<br />
� Blogs<br />
Staff:<br />
All <strong>BCIT</strong> staff have my<strong>BCIT</strong> accounts automatically generated when they are<br />
hired. my<strong>BCIT</strong> groups are available to all staff.<br />
Administrative and instructional staff can request accounts and support for the<br />
following collaboration tools:<br />
� QuickPlace (CoPs - Communities of Practice)<br />
� Blogs<br />
Tenants and <strong>BCIT</strong> affiliates (e.g. Student Association and Unions):<br />
Support will be provided as outlined in your Service Level Agreement.<br />
Not included:<br />
� Student training – direct student training is handled by course instructors,<br />
however, instructors may request assistance from IT <strong>Services</strong>.<br />
