Customers of this service<br />

Staff:<br />

All administrative and instructional staff, at the Burnaby and satellite campuses<br />

(DTC, BMC, ATC, GNW), are eligible for image support on IT <strong>Services</strong> issued<br />

computers in their offices, as follows:<br />

� The image with the operating system that was current at the time of the<br />

hardware purchase<br />

Satellite Campuses:<br />

Support will be provided as outlined in your Service Level Agreement.<br />

Affiliates and other non-<strong>BCIT</strong> groups (e.g. Student Association and<br />

Unions):<br />

Support will be provided as outlined in your Service Level Agreement.<br />

Not included:<br />

� Training for applications on these software images – contact HR Systems<br />

& Skills Training (604-432-8333)<br />

� Software images for Limited Support and Non-Supported hardware<br />

computers (See Appendix I)<br />

� Creating custom software images or image backups<br />

� Software images for computers not owned or leased by <strong>BCIT</strong><br />

� Software images for computers not issued by IT <strong>Services</strong><br />

Business process enabled by this service<br />

This service supports the process for managing administrative computer images<br />

for IT <strong>Services</strong> clients. This service is critical as it:<br />

� Provides a standard environment for <strong>BCIT</strong> business applications<br />

� Ensures that the software deployed is tested for the <strong>BCIT</strong> environment<br />

� Ensures that all software deployed by IT <strong>Services</strong>, on our standard<br />

images, is properly licensed<br />

� Allows for better support by IT <strong>Services</strong> staff, as systems will be set-up in<br />

a consistent manner<br />
