JUBA, John Lt. Col.<br />
JUBA – Lt. Col., John, 74, Crofton, Md., formerly of Colver, died June 22, 1996, at<br />
home. Born in Werhem, Pa, son of late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Juba. Preceded in death <strong>by</strong><br />
brothers, Michael and Nick Juba. Survived <strong>by</strong> wife, former Betty Weber; daughter,<br />
Karin, California; and sons John and Allen, both of Crofton. Brother of Nancy Nazar,<br />
Virginia Beach Va,; Ann Del Veckio, Belleview, N.J.; Mary Maranio, Newark, N.J.;<br />
Helen Strong, New Stanton, Pa.; and Charles Juba, California. Interment will be on July 8<br />

JUBA - John "Buzz," 85, Patton, formerly of Colver, died June 20, 2005, at Memorial<br />
Medical Center. Born Jan. 12, 1920, in Vintondale, son of Michael and Anna (Skibo)<br />
Juba. Preceded in death <strong>by</strong> parents; stepfather, George Polosky; brothers, Steve, George,<br />
Harry and Walter Juba; and sister, Mary Heresco. Survived <strong>by</strong> wife, Anna (Mikula) Juba,<br />
whom he married March 5, 1944; children, Linda (Ken) Thomas, Westover; John R.<br />
(Corrie) Juba, Twinsburg, Ohio; and Darlene (Dan) Weakland, Ebensburg;<br />
grandchildren, Tracy and Derek Thomas and Scott and April (Weakland) Weiland;<br />
stepsister, Margaret Polosky, Sacramento, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.<br />
Served with the Army during World War II, and retired from Patton Aerie 1244 FOE and<br />
Laurel Crest Manor. Member of SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Patton, where he<br />
served as president for over 50 years; Patton Aerie 1244 FOE; John White VFW Post<br />
779; Walter McCoy American Legion Post 614; and the Slovak Club. Friends will be<br />
received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave.,<br />
Patton, where Parastas will be held at 6 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 9:45 a.m.<br />
Thursday at the funeral home, followed <strong>by</strong> the funeral service at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter &<br />
Paul Orthodox Church, Father David Lewis. Committal, church cemetery. Military rite<br />
will be accorded <strong>by</strong> John White VFW Post 779 and Walter McCoy American Legion<br />

JUBA, Mike<br />
Mike Juba, 656 Sixth St., Colver, died July 1, 1989, at Johnstown Memorial Hospital. He<br />
was 71. Born Jan. 22, 1918, in Wehrum, he was a son of the late Charles and Helen<br />
(Rudick) Juba. Preceding him in death was his his brother Nick. Survivors include his<br />
widow, the former Roslia "Rose".Milkovich, to whom he was married for 42 years; and<br />
these children: Kathleen, wife of Donald Alt, Colver, Rosmary wife of Harold Ream Jr.,<br />
Johnstown R.D.6; and Paula, Wife of Gary Fenchak, Harrisburg. Also surviving are these<br />
.grandchildren: Donald Jr., Tammy and Amy Alt and Jennifer and Jason Ream. He was<br />
the brother of Nancy Nazar, Hillside, N.J.; John, Crofton, Md.; Ann DelVecchio,<br />
Bellville, N.J.; Mary Mariano, Newark, N.J.; Helen Strong, New Stanton; and Charles,<br />
Live Oak, Calif. Mr. Juba was a member of the Holy Ascension Orthodox Church,<br />
Colver, Local 860, UMWA, Sons of Italy and Slovak Club, all of Colver, and American<br />
Legion Post 363 and Post 4963, VFW both of Ebensburg. Retired from the former<br />
Eastern Gas and Fuel Co., Mr. Juba was an Army veteran of World War II. Father<br />
Andrew Matychak officiated at the service held Wednesday, July 5 at Holy Ascension<br />
Church, Colver. Interment followed in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg, with military
